Volunteering

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me knee-deep in paint, printing ink, or board games – all in the name of community spirit. I’m a big believer that sharing your skills is one of the best ways to make the world a little brighter (and a lot more fun).

Once a month, I host The Chill – Mill Hill’s Community Sitting Room. It’s exactly what it sounds like: a relaxed space where adults can meet locals, play board games, and just hang out. No agenda, no pressure – just good vibes and great company.

I volunteer with the 2nd Edgware Scouts Centre, where I’ve helped turn their volunteer room into a cozy, creative hub for troop leaders. Think: less beige, more inspiration. I also get stuck into their fundraising events – designing stalls, running games, and generally bringing the buzz.

I lend a hand to Extinction Rebellion too, helping spread the word about their work and getting artsy with their block printing stands. It’s activism with a splash of creativity.

I’ve also worked with the NW7hub foodbank, using my social media know-how to raise funds for food essentials – especially around Christmas, when a little extra joy goes a long way. Helping make sure families have what they need (and then some) during the festive season is something I’m really proud of.

Volunteering keeps me connected, creative, and caffeinated. It’s my way of giving back, one skill (and one board game) at a time.
